Home Sweet....huh?!

Hello all! What a crazy week! It's certainly been an adjustment and an adventure. We arrived earlier this week. Fortunately, our bishop and his wife had asked us to stay at their house our first night here so that we didn't have to stay without all of our stuff. Since our place wasn't quite as ready to move into as we thought it would be, we were really grateful that they asked us to stay with them. It was amazingly relaxing, especially when we awoke the following day to a home-cooked breakfast out on their deck. The whole area is so green and sitting outside is a lot different here than in Utah. There are so many more trees, so there are more noises from birds. It reminds me of living on a golf course. There are lakes and creeks everywhere so I find myself gawking at the scenery a lot.

This week has just consisted of cleaning our place, running to Wal-Mart, getting ready for school, running to Wal-Mart, getting familiar with the city, running to Wal-Mart, you get the idea. It takes a lot of trips to Wal-Mart to get a house ready to live in.

The great thing about the city is that Mizzou stuff is everywhere! We've already started stocking up. (Although we didn't buy it, you'll notice we found an awesome Tiger hat at Wal-Mart which Justin agreed to model for me). Even the local Fuddruckers and car washes are decked out in school stuff. Coming from a place where there's a mix of college teams, it's cool to see Mizzou stuff all over town.

Here are some pics of the drive and the area we're in now. Some of the un-packing process and the house. There will be more to follow. :) The big news of tonight is that we have our first Tornado warning! I had to take a picture although Justin promised that there will be many more to come. No worries, it's a ways north of us. Thanks to all of our family and friends for your love and support as we've made this move. It was hard to leave "home" but we know that we'll soon be calling Missouri home.
